One of the first thing that tends to happen in a burnout cycle is people foregoing sleep in order to meet a deadline or a goal. Usually considered trivial and sometimes even necessary, the impacts are vast and far reaching.
More importantly when sleeplessness becomes a habit, it compounds the other negative effects of burnout: Tiredness, stress, anxiety, all those aspects become exacerbated.
